Joyful Noise Preschool History

In the fall of 1997 a steering committee, for the establishment of a preschool, was instituted with members of Zion Lutheran Church.

After investigation, planning and preparation the preschool opened in the fall of 1998.  The school consisted of one two-day, three-year-old class; one three-day four-year-old class and a three-day extended-day class named Arts in the Afternoon.

Incorporating a Christian atmosphere into its daily environment, the preschool developed and flourished.

After a successful first year, in 1999, Joyful Noise increased in size to provide two three-year-old classes, two four-year-old classes, and a class for young three-year-olds and continued to offer the Arts in the Afternoon class.

In 2000, Joyful Noise Preschool of Zion Lutheran Church established a pre-kindergarten class that meet five days a week for children four and five years of age.  Arts in the Afternoon was rename and reconfigured to Arts Everywhere.  This class no longer just concentrated on arts and crafts but encompasses all the arts; dramatics, music, art appreciation as well as production, experience and expression of all.

In 2017, Joyful Noise Preschool created FLEX (Fun Learning thru Experiences) for our students who love STEM! This class focuses on many different areas of science. The students learn through exploration, experimentation and includes various hands on learning activities.
